SOLFEM was born out of the desire to have more fun with fundamental subjects. With enjoyable creations we hope to initiate curiosity about the workings of our wonderful world.

Focus on fundamental topics

The fundamentals of the world deserve our attention. They dominate choices and behavior in our daily lives. Whatever your personal preference, it is practically impossible to isolate yourself from fundamental topics.

Fundamental topics are, unfortunately, not always accessible. The world is complex, making it difficult to distinguish main and secondary issues. This can lead to wasted time, wrong priorities and frustration.

We see it as our challenge to (1) dive into fundamental topics, (2) unravel them to their essence and (3) share this. Hopefully, in doing so, we will make our world a little more understandable.

It makes sense to present fundamental topics in a serious manner. A formal tone shows that a topic should be taken seriously. It may also be inappropriate to treat topics with humor or indifference.

However, such an approach does not always lead to the right engagement. Non-fiction books, factual news stories or academic articles are very valuable, but not always the products people want. Nor is it always the best way to get introduced to a topic: it can frighten off or cause (unwanted) disinterest.

We focus on making creations that are based on fundamental topics, but have to be enjoyable. Having fun is key and maybe you'll become interested in the subject at hand.

Curiosity is essential to learn about a new subject. Without interest and motivation, it is difficult to grasp a subject and make it your own.

Our deep-dives are a springboard to start learning. They are directly connected to the stories and games we create. Upon completion, you can happily swim on and determine your own path to continue learning.
