In a vast country on the other side of the ocean there are, following a centuries-old tradition, national elections every four years. These elections determine whether the Donkeys or the Elephants will be in charge for the next few years. It is a period filled with drama and tension in which both parties do their utmost to win.

Goal

The first player to earn (at least) 270 electors wins. In total, there are 538 electors in the game.

To earn electoral votes, you must win a State Battle. The number of electors to be won varies by state. Electors are given to the party that wins the State Battle.

In the game, you can battle for different states. Do you choose California and play for 54 electors? Or do you play the State Battle card of Wyoming for 3 electoral votes? Determine your own tactics to get 270 electors!

Set-up

In the game, one player is the Donkeys, the other player is the Elephants. You compete against each other for the presidency.

On your turn, you can do several actions. For example, you can play a State Battle card and determine who wins the electoral votes. Or you play an animal card that can help you in the game. Another option is to retrieve played donkeys and elephants from a won state.

The game revolves around State Battles: this is how to win electors. In a State Battle, both players decide (secretly) how many donkeys or elephants they want to bet to win the State. The player who bets the most wins the State and thus the electors.

The Elephants only know winning or losing: a draw is not a thing in their vocabulary. So if the Donkeys think it's a tie, the Elephants win. But the Donkeys are more popular: they start with more in the game. So both sides have a good chance to win, your strategy is decisive!
